The keynote speaker, Ray Kurzweil says humans could become immortal in as little as 20 years through nanotechnology and an increase
understanding of how the body works.
The American inventor and chief spokesman, made the statement that we can all be cyborgs in 20 years. The 61-year-old keynote speaker, who predicted new
technologies that come before, as our understanding of genes and information technology is accelerating at an incredible rate.
Theoretically, he says the rate is increasing our understanding nanotechnologies capable of replacing many of our vital

"Within 25 years, we will be able to do an Olympic sprint for 15 minutes without breathing, or go diving for four hours

operation as robots their blood to keep them alive.
"The nanotechnology will extend our mental capacities so that will be able to write books in minutes.
"If we want to go the way of virtual reality, nano-robots will turn off the brain signals and take us where we want to go. Virtual sex

"So we can look forward to a world where humans become cyborgs, with artificial limbs and organs."
